MERRY ONE´s POPULAR WIN IN USA

AMCH MERRY ONE's I'M A STATESMAN "Alex"
winning Veteran class under two days och also got an Award of Merit, equivalent of 2:nd best dog, nearly 12 years of age.

When we sent little Alex to Susan and Meghen (kennel Statesman) in Atlanta nearly 12 years ago we only knew that he was a very good puppy, but that he would go on to achieve what he has done over the years was only in our dreams.

I want to take the opportunity to thank Meghen and her mother Susan (kennel Statesman)
for the love and care they have shown Alex and for the way they have always treated
him special and given him a lovely life.
Also for coming to see us 3 times!, over the years, all the way from "over there" and last
but not least for becoming such dear friends of ours.

They (and we) are extremely proud of Alex and I am happy to share with you a little
of what Meghen wrote to me about the show.
Alex was:
Best in Veteran Sweepstakes
1st place in Veteran Dog class at the Regional Specialty
1st Award of Merit at the Regional Specialty (equivalent to 2nd best dog)
 

There were 67 Welsh springers entered at the Regional Specialty. Alex won his veteran class.
Then, he went on to win 1st Award of Merit.....which is saying that he was the 2nd best dog there.
I was THRILLED. Everyone at ringside (including the judge) was crying
because he was so graceful, and stately for a dog his age. He remembered how to
show, and did it with style.

After this glorious day at the show, Alex was a bit tired, but he knew that, at home a little sweet lady with brown eyes and red hair was waiting for him. He had to show her what a real Viking is all about. And he did that also, in great style! - Well, said Alex, I was'nt all that tired...I always have time for a lady. And then he fell asleep, with a big smile on his face. What a day...zzzzz
