The ladies that made the sun come out… From a grey sky with heavy showers the sun showed its pretty face when these ladies entered the ring at The International All Breed Kennel Club show in Askersund this weekend (9/8-08) Fr left: Merry One’s Wait a Minute ”Saga” 2,5, Merry One’s Why Me ”Iza 2,5, Merry One’s Nice Surprise “Bella” 10 years of age och SU(u)CH Millenium Champagne “Jaffa” 8 and also a veteran. The very pleasant judge Mr David Hull from South Africa was well pleased with our girls. Best of our lot was “Iza” as Best Bitch-2, Congrat´s to Margaretha Larsson who is the very proud owner, 3rd Best Bitch was “Bella”, owned by Carina Sundblad, 4th was “Saga” and 5th was Jaffa, both owned by Maria Strand. Bella was also best Veteran of the day, lika she has been so many times. Both these veteran ladies moved like trains and the judge was impressed. We also had Breeders Group for which we got “Price of Honour” and the following comments from the judge – An exellent group, showing the true characteristics of the head and breeding. Well done! It was one of the hottest days during this summer, but that did not stop this lovely girl from performing to the judges liking. Mr Gordon R Haran from England was well pleased with his “best girl”. The Kennel Club Champ.show in Tvååker, 11/7-08 Judge: Mrs Borregaard-Madsen, Denmark Who takes the CC and gets Best of Breed, from Veteran? Yes…Miss Bella! This lovely bitch gets better and better, now at ten, she looks the part. Bella now has 2 CC’s, both from Veteran class. The judges comment – An absolutely gorgeous bitch!! At the top in Gränna, again. We have had lots of success at the annual Gränna Show over the years. Amongst other top placements SU(u)CH Merry One’s Mandy Montgomery was Best in Show two years running!! Saturday WSSC Open Show, judge Sara Nordin, had 53 bitches in total and “Jaffa”, SU(u)CH Merry One’s Millenium Champagne was Best bitch-4 with super critique. “Saga” Merry One’s Wait a minute was Res Open bitch. And “Jaffa” was Best Bitch-2 on the Sunday under Judge Gill Tully, England, she just loved Jaffas type and confirmation and said she was also the best mover on the day. There were 43 bitches in total. “Saga” was Res Open bitch. Jaffa” was BOB Veteran both days!! So the only Merry One’s dogs represented at these two Shows, with records entry as usual, kept our flag flying very high indeed!! Congratulations to Jaffa and Sagas owner Maria Strand, Tibro. It usually gathers around 100 welshies, so competition is very tough. Now her puppies went all the way to the top, at 5 month of age. We hope they will continue to follow in their successful mothers footsteps.
